Watches, Warnings, and Advisories

If we have any Watches or Warnings, they will show up here at the top of the page. If there are no active messages, we still include a map of the United States with all watches and warnings that are current. That map may take a minute to load.

We also include on this page our 'Fire Danger' image with good ole 'Smokey' letting us know what our chances are.

Message summary: Locally dense valley fog will adversely impact travel across the region this morning. Visibility will drop to just a few hundred feet in some locations. Use extreme caution while driving to work and school this morning. Use the low beams of your headlights and allow plenty of braking distance between you and the vehicle ahead. Perhaps most importantly. Allow plenty of extra time to reach your destination and reduce your speed accordingly. The fog will last until around 9 am, then visibility will improve quickly as the fog lifts to a brief, 1 to 2 hour period of low stratus clouds.
